The Tech Golden Bear Alumni Association (TGBAA) is pleased to announce a new project designed to connect students, alumni and the community with those Golden Bears who have gone on to show the world what a Tech graduate can do.
For almost 70 years, WVU Tech has been honoring individual alumni who have found success in their fields, have worked to improve their communities and have given back to their alma mater and the people it serves.
We call them Alumni of the Year, and it’s time we created a place for them.
We’re designing a space on WVU Tech’s Beckley campus that will honor every one of our award recipients. From Meredith Parry, the first-ever recipient of the award in 1949, to 2016’s David Meadows, ’74, and Deborah Martin Hill, ’86 and ’87, every Alumni of the Year recipient will be featured on a plaque in our new WVU Tech Alumni Hall.
Through the creation of WVU Tech Alumni Hall, the TGBAA and the alumni it represents will put their mark on the WVU Beckley campus. This project will blend the history of WVU Tech with its future in a way that highlights the achievements of its graduates and encourages the success of new generations of alumni. It will serve as a hall of honor, a place of inspiration and a space to reflect on the many ways alumni have impacted the industries and communities they touch.
